August 2nd 2015 will mark the 3rd
Annual Sturgis FXR Show held in historic Sturgis City Park. The first two years
of the FXR Show have brought back what some have called the “Good Ol Days.” in
reference to motorcycle shows in City Park. The FXR Show was started with two
objects in mind. One, to raise money for Children’s Care Hospital and Schools
of South Dakota now known as Life Scape. Two, to join motorcycle enthusiasts in
an afternoon of displaying their Harley Davidson or
Custom FXR and talking motorcycles in a relaxed no B.S. atmosphere with likeminded
people. This motorcycle show does not have big cash prizes or obnoxious plastic
trophies to collect dust on a shelf. Instead we have brought along as many
industry sponsors as we can to donate parts and prizes in an effort to give
everyone who participates something to take home. In the past, entrants to the
show have brought home quality motorcycle parts, t-shirts, hats, and loads of
motorcycle industry swag from the show.
There is no entry fee to get into the FXR Show, only requirement
is that you ride in on your FXR. All entrants to the show are given a ballot to
vote for their top three favorite FXRs of the show. All those votes are tallied
to give us the Top 10 FXRs of the show as voted on by the entrants. This year
we plan to add a people’s choice winner as well. This will be voted on by
anyone who attends the show, FXR owner or not.
To raise money for our charity we sell event t-shirts and
raffle tickets. Raffle tickets give everyone the chance to win some great
motorcycle industry sponsored prizes. So even if you don’t have an FXR to bring
to the show you still have a chance to win some great motorcycle parts and
swag. Not to mention all of the free swag we hand out through the entire show.
I tell people “If you didn’t come away from the show with something free you
didn’t try very hard. We give away a lot of stuff.”
Registration for the FXR Show starts at 11AM and the show
runs from Noon until 3pm. This year’s event will be accentuated by the other
activities happening in City Park. There will be vendors, food, drink and
entertainment going on throughout the day. After the FXR Show there will be an
FXR Show after part sponsored by the Glencoe Camp Resort. Where there will be
free admittance to the Glencoe Campground that night to anyone who attends the
FXR show and purchases raffle tickets. At the after party there will be a free
food and drink social until the freebies run out then there will be more fun to
be had with live entertainment and drink specials for the FXR Show attendees.

Park, Cycle Source Magazine, Chop Cult,
the Glencoe Camp Resort, Life Scape, all of our Industry Sponsors and The FXR
Show this year’s event should prove to be the rally event that you don’t want
to miss!
